  Jim Northrup is the Managing Partner of ClearSight Solutions, a human resources consulting firm specializing in assisting organizations maximize the productivity and utilization of their human capital through a variety of HR solutions.  Jim brings over 25 years of senior Human Resources business executive, managerial and consulting experience to the firm’s practice.  Jim’s focus is on integrating HR solutions into client organizations to maximize their return on people.

  Prior to co-founding the firm, Jim was Vice President of Human Resources for Kroll Inc., the world’s leading risk mitigation consulting firm.  At Kroll, Jim helped Kroll achieve its vision of being the leading worldwide provider of risk mitigation services by developing and implementing state-of-the-art Human Capital Management solutions.

  Jim’s business experience also includes being one of the founding partners of IMCOR, Inc., which grew to become the US’s leading human capital management firm specializing in “portable executive” (temporary) recruiting and placement as well as providing HR consulting services.  After more than ten years of growth, IMCOR was acquired by a large publicly traded multi-billion dollar temporary recruitment services firm.

  Jim’s other experiences in Human Resources management include being the Vice President Human Resources for V.I. Technologies, Inc. (“VITEX”), a leading biotechnology company specializing in the research, development and production of safe blood products using proprietary viral inactivation technologies.  Prior to VITEX, Jim was Vice President, Human Resources & Information Technology for a privately held pharmaceutical company that was sold to the large European multinational pharmaceutical firm. Jim also held increasingly responsible human resource management positions with Merck & Co., Inc. (which won Fortune Magazine’s ‘Most Admired Company award five years in a row), and earlier, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.

  Jim received his MBA from the Wharton School and BA from the University of Pennsylvania.  He has also authored books and articles on HR subjects and has been a featured contributor to numerous professional association conferences, training programs and professional development organizations.

  Jim has served on numerous Boards of Directors for such organizations as CareerDNA, IMCOR, Inc., The Society of Human Resource Management (Southern Connecticut Chapter), ExecuNet, Inc., The Fairleigh Dickinson University Center for HR Management, and The Wharton Club of New York.
